Before we pack up, Mark takes an early morning walk in the markets near our hotel. This is one of the bits of Shanghai which still has the old peak-roof houses with balconys and back alleys. Note that every building has pipes jutting out from the second floor - that's for hanging the family laundry so it can air-dry.
Off to the airport - the kids pose with the family luggage.
