While Jen and Kobi pack the bags at the Villa Pottipatti Hotel, Mark, Matt and the big kids go out to explore Bangalore for one last morning.
Matt, Maggie and Karma on a rickshaw ride to the market. Bangalore is one of the few cities that use a meter (at least most of the time) instead of bargaining a price before setting off.
The market is bustling.
Maggie buys a rose.
Karma watches while a market tailor fixes the strap on Maggie's bag, which broke a few days back in a sibling tussle. This repair cost 10 rupees, about 25 cents. Then it was back to the hotel for a goodbye.
Sajeev joined us back on Nov 7th, which seems like a million years ago. After so many adventures and fascinating conversations about books, religion and India, we are sorry to say goodbye but hope to meet again.
The one-hour flight from Bangalore to Goa on Air Deccan cost $20 per person, plus $20 in taxes. Incredible speedy and comfortable service. Kobi took a nap, Matt read a magazine, and the other kids ate a large amount of candy. We arrive in Goa!
The kids have gotten kind of matter-of-fact about traveling by this time. Karma blows bubbles while pushing luggage, Maggie minds Kobi, and Tenzin reads while walking.
